The Offering
We are all concerned about the impact of emissions on our climate. Emission free electricity generation by mini-hydro is one element of the UK strategy to slow climate change. And now it can make money for the landowner too.
Running River plc is a well funded company with practical experience in developing, funding and implementing mini-hydro projects and managing them long term. Your stream can become an income stream.
The Running River offer to landowners
If you have a serious stream running across your land we will work with you to finance and implement a mini-hydro project leaving you with long term additional income from selling power to the national grid or replacing local electricity supply.
The key steps in the project, all of which we will carry out, are as follows.
Most projects have minimal impact on the landscape; a small concrete weir upstream and a small machinery building, in the local style, lower down the valley.
There are many valleys in the UK which have the potential to generate 500kW to 1500kW of electricity. This could create revenues of £10,000 to £50,000 per annum to the landowner.
The next steps
Please contact us at Running River to discuss the potential of your steam and how we might work together to turn it into an income stream.
